Sept. 22, 2014 — The Robin (then The Robin 2): FORKSTER backstage with Wayne Hussey — founder and frontman of The Mission — after their interview and before his solo tour show in Bilston, UK.

In The Early 2010’s

Back in the early 2010s, when social media was exploding into the bloodstream of music discovery, one independent voice began cutting through the noise: FORKSTER.
What started as raw, late-night music posts on Facebook quickly transformed into a magnet for underground and alternative communities worldwide. Bands, fans, and labels gravitated
to the unfiltered passion, swagger-filled vocabulary, and relentless mission to champion artists the mainstream overlooked.

The Rise of a Music Journalist

By 2014, he had gone beyond posts and playlists. The next step was journalism. Launching FORKSTER Music Promotions, he built a
global hub for independent and alternative music features, writing over 1,200 articles that spanned interviews, reviews, and deep-dives into emerging artists.
His words weren’t sterile press-release fluff — they carried grit, reverence, and edge. Artists and readers alike felt it: this was journalism with a pulse.

Veteran Promoter & Trusted Voice

Over more than a decade, He carved out his reputation not just as a writer but as a veteran independent music promoter.
Campaigns he curated put unsigned bands on the radar of international audiences. Testimonials poured in from artists across Europe, the U.S., and beyond —
all pointing to the same truth: The man behind the Alt. Music Asylum fought for their music like it was his own.

From Promoter to Archivist: The Alt-Music Asylum Vision

But their mission has always been bigger than just the next track drop. As streaming fractured attention spans, he recognized the danger:
the legacy of alternative music was fading in the noise. That’s when the archivist vision was born.
FORKSTER Alt. Music Asylum emerged not as another blog, but as an evolution — a vault of legacy, culture, and history spanning the 1970s–1990s Architects
and the modern-day Torchbearers carrying their flame.
